Cutting corrosion spread + weather-resistant aging salt spray test
Purpose: Evaluate the weather resistance and corrosion resistance of the product according to the various test conditions established in ISO 20340, NORSOK M-501, and AWWA C217.
Method: 1. Mark the test piece according to ISO 20340 (the cut line is 2mm wide and 50mm long). Mark the line mechanically (using a drill press with a cobalt carbide drill) or manually.
Mark the line parallel to the short side of the test piece and cut to the steel surface of the test piece.
2. Conduct the test according to ISO 20340, 168 hours per single cycle, for a total of 25 cycles.
Qualified standard: After 25 cycles (4200 hours), there is no blistering, powdering, discoloration, swelling, loss of adhesion, or detachment on the surface,
and the average value of cutting corrosion spread is within 8mm.
Test result: Qualified (attached with SGS test report)
